The Regional Coordinator of Kerala for the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM, U.K) Mr.Sebastian Stephen D’Cruz and Mr. Donald D’Cruz’s visit on the 10th of September 2009 opened a new chapter in the history of the High Range School with the school being made a centre for the Board in Munnar to conduct Theory and Practicals examinations in music. This means that those who wish to appear for the exams can take their exams in the High Range School itself and not have to worry about having to travel to distant places. Some students have already registered their names for the Music Exams.
The present strength of Instrumental Music Students is around a hundred. Students from classes I to XII are taught Music Theory in Practice on a weekly basis. Each class lasts for an hour.
